Reliving CNC’s memorable moments of 2024 (part II)

by Jessie (scheelej1) | Dec 20, 2024
As the calendar turns toward a new year, we’re looking back on a year filled with achievements, events and memories made with students, employees, alumni, donors and others in the CNC community.
Here’s a countdown of most favourite and memorable moments at the CNC campuses – and don’t forget to check out part I!

Training the professionals of tomorrow

CNC has an outstanding reputation for educating skilled professionals. Where possible, we seek to combine learning with community service.

The commitment and support of community members help students expand their skillset and fulfill their requirements for graduation, for example as patients for our on-campus dental clinic and volunteers for our sonography program.

Local campus investments and community partnerships

As a community college, we work with businesses, industry and community partners, and other educational institutions to open doors and grow new opportunities for students and the industries in which they’ll work.

2024 was signified by campus investments and meaningful community partnerships to enhance the student experience and create a welcoming, accessible learning environment.

Research with community impact

At CNC, our research projects directly benefit the communities that we serve. We collaborate with a wide range of partners in the public and private sector and gather community input to address social issues, and engage student researchers so they can apply their skills and expertise beyond the classroom.

Prime examples of the research work this year are the dementia guidance project, food security study, and CNC Research Forest employee tour, and Legacy Fund.

Student centricity and well-being

At CNC, we care about the holistic well-being of students. To further improve the student experience on our campuses and in our classroom, we launched new round the clock resources and tools to ensure students feel supported during their time at the College.
