Wireless Access

Eduroam at CNC
We’re excited to announce that starting June 15, 2024, all CNC campuses will begin to transition to Eduroam – a superior, unified network designed to provide faster and more reliable internet access. This upgrade means no more switching between CNC, CNC Secure, CNC AD, and CNC Guest – just one seamless connection wherever you are on campus.

By using Eduroam, CNC users will be able to connect to thousands of Wi-Fi networks through affiliates around the world. Learn more.

Stay tuned for upcoming details and step-by-step instructions on how to connect to our new, improved Wi-Fi service. For more information or for assistance, please contact IT services at helpdesk@cnc.bc.ca.

Legacy Wi-Fi

Access to CNC Wi-Fi is restricted to CNC Students, Staff and Faculty.
Wi-Fi on CNC Campuses requires a valid username and password.

As a CNC student you have two Wi-Fi options: CNC Secure and CNC.
As a member of CNC Staff or Faculty you have a third Wi-Fi option: CNC AD

CNC SECURE

When connecting to the CNC Secure network on your wireless device you will be prompted to enter your CNC credentials and to accept a security certificate in your device's Wi-Fi / Network settings. If your device has trouble connecting to the CNC Secure network, please try connecting to the CNC network.

CNC

When connecting to the CNC network on your wireless device you will be prompted to enter your CNC credentials when you open your web browser.

CNC AD

For Staff and Faculty, connect to CNC AD on your CNC device to access your shared drives.

My Files and Documents (U-Drive)

Please Note: This service will be decommissioned. More information will be made available via newsletters and bulletins in due course. Read on to learn about the alternative to this service: Microsoft OneDrive.

As a CNC student or staff member you are assigned your own folder called your U-drive. This is a place to store your files while studying or working at CNC. You will be able to access the files that you store on your U-drive from any lab computer at CNC.

To access your U-drive, log into a lab computer. Press the start menu and select 'Computer'. In the left hand column underneath 'Computer' you will see your U-drive. You can save to your U-drive by pressing 'File' then 'Save As' and navigating to your U-drive as explained above.

You also have the option to access your U-drive from your personal device on or off campus. Log into MyFiles.cnc.bc.ca with your CNC username and password to access any file on your U-drive.

Microsoft OneDrive

All current users have access to Microsoft OneDrive. This can be used for file storage and file sharing. You can see files others have shared with you, access Microsoft's suite of applications, and more

Please go to CNCCloud-my.sharepoint.com to get started.

Get Microsoft 365 Apps

Your CNC Account allows you to use Microsoft 365 / Office 365 applications such as Word and Excel while you are enrolled and in good standing with the College of New Caledonia.
