Weight Room

The weight room offers free weights, machines, cardio equipment, and some cross fit equipment. Information on booking a weight room orientation can be done through recreation services at gym@cnc.bc.ca.


Scheduled activities throughout the week include badminton, basketball, soccer, and pickle ball. Gymnasium activities are available to students, staff, and drop in participants. See the Recreation Calendar (below) for details.

Squash Court - CLOSED

Squash is a great way to build relationships while getting an intense workout. Come play with an old friend, a new acquaintance, or competitive rival. Free for students, staff and faculty. Drop in fee for community members $5.00 and a waiver must be completed at Recreation Services.

Looking for personal challenges to test both your mental and physical abilities? See if you can find the fastest — or hardest — way to climb to the top of our bouldering wall.

Accessing the Weight Room During the Pandemic

  Please be prepared to provide your proof of vaccination card at when purchasing your weight room card.

You must provide proof of vaccination to access the weight room.

The weight room is open from 8:00am - 3:00pm. Last workout is 2:00pm.

The maximum number of people allowed in the weight room is 10, please be conscious of the length of your workout to allow others to maximize the time they have for a workout.

Your waiver can be completed online through the link provided below.

All weight room card deposit fees are cash only.

Equipment Cleaning

You will be required to clean your equipment prior to use as well as after use before returning to racks, shelves etc, including cardio equipment, benches and functional trainers. If this practice is not adhered to, privileges may be revoked without refund. It is everyone's responsibility to keep our facility clean and safe for all users.

Weight Room Access Card

$20 refundable deposit

Fill out the recreation waiver and complete a deposit to use the CNC weight room. Bring a $20 refundable cash deposit* to Recreation services.

You must complete a waiver, available online, prior to accessing the weight room.

$45 (9 classes plus 1 free!)

Classes are available to members of the general public for a $5 drop-in fee. Visit Recreation Services to purchase.

Fitness Classes and Events

In-person fitness classes will resume October 5th, 2021. You can check out the schedule in the calendar. CNC is happy to offer Yoga, Pilates, HIIT and Circuit Training.

HIIT and Circuit Training resuming October 5th, 2021.

Pilates starts October 7th at 12:10 - 12:50 in the bouldering room.
