Open doors for high school students via exciting partnerships

Researching your post-secondary school options can be overwhelming. That’s why CNC has different partnerships and programs in place for high school students to test drive college or university, earn credits, and get a sense of which path they want to pursue.

Our new experiential Technology Exploration (TekX) program, a collaboration with UNBC and S57, welcomed its first-ever full cohort of dual credit students this year. We signed a dual credit agreement with the Cedars Christian School in Prince George to support their students transitioning to post-secondary education.

CNC also hosted its first-ever Fall open house for high school students and their families and friends, and the Adventures in Healthcare program in partnership with the Rotary of Prince George: Yellowhead, UNBC, Northern Health, and SD57 to explore health science education and careers.

    Student accomplishments

We provide quality and hands-on education that provide learners with the skills and confidence to excel beyond the classroom. This year, CNC students have achieved remarkable milestones: showcasing their talents through provincial and national competitions, receiving industry honours, and earning life-changing scholarships.

    Convocation

We celebrated the achievements of more than 1,100 graduates in the Class of 2024 with ceremonies in Prince George and Quesnel. These graduates joined over 100,000 CNC alumni.

Our convocation ceremonies featured inspiring stories of graduates who have distinguished themselves throughout their post-secondary education, including Darien Davis (recipient of the Mary John Award of Excellence), Kiaya Morrisey (recipient of the Lieutenant Governor Medal for Inclusion, Democracy, and Reconciliation), and Julia Pryde (recipient of the Governor General’s Academic Collegiate Bronze Medal).

    Life-changing donor and alumni contributions

Through the unwavering and generous support from our donors, we’re able to provide quality education, a supportive training environment, and mentorship to equip future professionals with the skills and knowledge that our industry and community needs.

Our alumni are making incredible impact across industries, some close to their home community, others in the far corners of the country.
