Peer Connections

The Peer Connections Program is here to help new CNC students during their transition and adjustment to postsecondary life and culture. The program supports students to: 

  • Build capacity to take on new challenges
  • Gain insight to services and supports, and
  • Establish a powerful sense of belonging to their peers and the CNC college community

Peer Connections is open to all students studying at CNC.

First Year Students Peer Participants

New students are connected with second year students who will provide practical and social support and encourage engagement in all that CNC has to offer.

Become a Peer Participant to:

  • Make new friends from diverse cultures and backgrounds
  • Get involved in student engagement events and activities
  • Become familiar with a variety of supports and services
  • Increase self-confidence and foster personal-growth
  • Build a sense of belonging at CNC

Second Year Students Peer Connectors

Experienced students can volunteer to act as guides and support to help new students get connected to campus, meet new people and form meaningful, supportive relationships.

Volunteer as a Peer Connector to:

  • Make new friends from diverse backgrounds
  • Get involved in student engagement events and activities
