CNC applied research partnerships span over a decade involving individual entrepreneurs to large corporations and government agencies.  We welcome anyone from the northern interior to reach out and discuss your research and innovation needs.

Learn more about external funding opportunities for college research at CNC:

  • College and Community Innovation program (CCI) - The CCI program is a set of tri-council funding initiatives dedicated exclusively to research at Canadian colleges and polytechnics. All initiatives focus on serving the innovation needs of partner organizations, providing students with professional skills, and realizing the benefits of research for Canadians.
  • MITACS - MITACS programs support innovative initiatives which connect post-secondary experts, industry partners, and paid student interns. Initiatives are open to both colleges and universities.
  • Silviculture Innovation program (SIP) - The purpose of the SIP is to improve knowledge regarding innovative silviculture systems through extension, applied and operational research.
