Active Projects

Eduroam at CNC.

Your experience is important to us, so we’re improving your connectivity!

We know how important reliable Wi-Fi is for your studies and daily campus life. Many of you have shared your frustrations with the current networks, and we’ve taken your feedback seriously.

We’re excited to announce that starting June 15, 2024, all CNC campuses will begin to transition to Eduroam – a superior, unified network designed to provide faster and more reliable internet access. This upgrade means no more switching between CNC, CNC Secure, CNC AD, and CNC Guest – just one seamless connection wherever you are on campus. Eduroam will be available for mobile devices first; connections for CNC-provided laptops will be available in due course.

By using Eduroam, CNC users will be able to connect to thousands of Wi-Fi networks through affiliates around the world. Learn more.

Why does the CNC network require an overhaul?

Our current technology assets and infrastructures are out-of-date and do not adhere to industry best practices.

This upgrade will help us to better support your academic needs and enhance your overall college experience. The first phase of the upgrade included the following improvements:

✔️ replace all existing WIFI access points

✔️ tune to modern best practices

✔️ back-end upgrades for increased reliability

✔️ additional access points deployed for improved coverage

We appreciate your patience as we move forward together.

    Strategic Relevance

The network revitalization project supports the objectives of our Strategic Plan (lhulh whuts’odutel’eh– Learning Together)

      • 3.5.1 Develop and implement a technology plan in support of institutional goals.
