Meet Tansy Benedict, the Aboriginal Advisor/ Liaison (AAL) at CNC Burns Lake. As the Aboriginal Advisor/ Liaison, Tansy promotes and supports Aboriginal student success by providing access to Aboriginal resources and culturally relevant activities.
The Aboriginal Advisor Liaison (AAL) connects with students upon registration with goals that establish positive relationships early on in their learning journey. The AAL can assist with goal setting, registration, and post secondary funding applications while providing a safe and inclusive space within the ARC when these services are required.
As the Aboriginal Advisor/ Liaison, Tansy assists with Aboriginal student recruitment and will liaise between students, staff, local First Nations, and other community organizations and committees to provide for and foster healthy working relationships and to support the development and maintenance of student success rates.
