Transferring Credits from CNC to another institution

Most post-secondary institutions will not assess transfer credit until have you applied or been accepted.

Official transcripts can be requested online through your CNC Connect account or in person at the Office of the Registrar. Most post-secondary institutions require the transcript to be sent directly to them from CNC. Please refer to the receiving institution for details regarding where to send the transcript.

Bachelor of Applied Science (Engineering)
This program provides a direct transfer into second year of a Bachelor of Applied Science (Engineering) at Thompson Rivers University. The following conditions apply:
- Students progressing into the Bachelor of Engineering in Software Engineering at TRU will be required to successfully complete:
- MATH 1700 - Discrete Mathematics, and
- SENG 1210 - Programming for Engineers II.
at the earliest scheduled date for each course at that institution to validate their transfer.
- Students fully completing the program will receive transfer credit for:
- CHEM 1520 - Principles of Chemistry.
(which is a course that is normally scheduled in Year 2 at TRU.)
- Applicants who have successfully completed all courses within the Applied Science Engineering Certificate at CNC with a minimum TRU GPA of C+ (or TRU GPA of 2.33) and have no courses applicable for transfer with a grade less than a "C" will be granted second year standing within the Bachelor of Engineering in Software Engineering at TRU.
- Applications from the Applied Science Engineering Certificate must follow all application procedures at TRU, including applying for admission and submitting post-secondary and high school academic transcripts.

Bachelor of Applied Science (Environmental Engineering)
The Applied Science Engineering Certificate at CNC provides for a direct transfer into second year Engineering at UNBC. The following Conditions apply:
- Students completing the entire Applied Science Engineering Certificate at CNC within two terms (typically 8 months), no later than 30-April, and with a minimum CGPA requirements (reviewed annually) by UNBC will be guaranteed placement within the Bachelor of Applied Science in Environmental Engineering at UNBC.
- Applicants from CNC must follow all application procedures at UNBC, including applying for admission and submitting post-secondary and high school academic transcripts.

The Applied Science Engineering Certificate at CNC provides a direct transfer into second year Engineering at the University of Victoria. The following conditions apply:
- ENGR 130 - Introduction to Professional Practice must be completed by all students in the program soon after they begin in a UVic Engineering Program
- This transfer agreement features guaranteed admission into second year of one of the Bachelor of Engineering programs for students who have successfully completed all of the courses in the program with a minimum UVIC GPA of C+ (or UVic 3.0) and who have no course transferable to a UVic Engineering program with a grade less than a C.
- Students accepted under this agreement will compete on an equal footing with UVic students for placement in their chosen engineering program.

- KPU guarantees a minimum of sixty (60) credits to be awarded on transfer to holders of Associate Degrees awarded by a BC College. Students must still meet all specific degree requirements. As KPU offers primarily applied degrees, most students will be required to complete bridging courses that will raise the number of credits needed to earn their degrees beyond the traditional 120 credits.

Bachelor of Medical Laboratory Science
On completion of the diploma program and Medical Laboratory Technologist Certification with the CSMLS, students are eligible to apply for degree transfer into year 3 of the Bachelor of Medical Laboratory Science program at the University of British Columbia (UBC-V). With appropriate prerequisite work in undergraduate general science courses, it is anticipated that a time frame of less than five years full-time will allow for completion of both the CNC diploma and UBC-V BMLSc degree.
Please note that MLT diploma holders with CSMLS certification must complete the following second year University level prerequisite courses to be eligible for admission (equivalent transferrable courses can be completed at other institutions):
