Testing & Tutoring FAQ

• Can I use an electronic device during my test?

  You are not allowed to use electronic devices during testing unless specified by your instructor (for example, permission to use a calculator) or included in your approved accommodation plan. Approved accommodations may include assistive technology such as a laptop, screen reader, or dictation software. Prohibited electronic devices include, but are not limited to, smart phones, tablets, cell phones, Bluetooth devices, digital cameras or camcorders, watches, or any device capable of recording or creating a digital image.

• Where do I write the Student Readiness Assessment and how much does it cost?

• Does the Academic Success Centre have any handouts I can use for studying, writing, or similar topics?

  The Academic Success Centre has a variety of handouts available. Please ask the staff.

• I need some counselling or academic advice, can I get this at the Academic Success Centre?

  The Academic Success Centre also provides access to Accessibility Advising. If your question relates to an approved accommodation, our Accessibility Advisors can help with that. • What is Academic Integrity and where can I find CNC’s Academic Conduct Policy?

   

  Academic integrity at CNC means being honest, responsible, and respectful in your learning. It includes:

  • Creating and submitting your own work
  • Giving proper credit when you use someone else's ideas or words
  • Collaborating only when your instructor allows it
  • Using tools (including AI) only when permitted and appropriately cited
