What do you do for students?

We provide a number of academic supports for students. We help students find funding, including band sponsorship, scholarships, grants, and bursaries. Onsite are Indigenous Academic Advisors to assist students with planning their college experience, as well as weekly academic tutors for English, Math, and Science. You can also find information on CNC’s Aboriginal Housing here in the ARC.

Each Aboriginal Resource Centre hosts culturally sensitive activities, including holistic support and smudging ceremonies. We also refer to other campus supports including health services, counselling, and student’s union, dental services provided on the campus.

The Prince George facilities include drop-in study spaces, a computer lab with printing availability, and a landline phone for students to utilize.

How should students prepare for a visit or call?

If you are a new student seeking band funding:
Please bring your band information or status number

If you are a returning student:
Bring your login information to access the computer lab

If you are a potential student:
Bring an open mind.

What else should students know about your department?

The ARC offers the Dream Hunters Club (Shun ha’dut’ enne) that Indigenous students are able to join for planning events and activities throughout the campus!
