Building Envelope Project

Building envelope upgrades are progressing across multiple areas, including the 100, 300, 500, and 700 Blocks. Work includes roof installation, moisture barrier shield installation, exterior improvements and window replacements.

Impacts: Some entrances may be partially or temporarily closed. Expect noise, dust, visual disruptions, and temporary detours in affected areas.  

Accessibility & Detours
Please use posted detour routes and alternate entrances during closures.

  • Accessible parking at the South Main Entrance is temporarily relocated near the crosswalk ramp.
  • The following entrances are closed or partially closed:
    • Main entrance (partially closed)
    • East entrance (fully closed)
    • Two 1st-floor exits in the 300 Block
    • Back entrance of the Health and Wellness Center (closed except for emergencies)
  • The Weight Room and 500 Block 2nd floor remain closed until further notice for stair replacement
  • Secured bike rack at the West Entrance is OPEN.
  • Slight detour for accessing West Entrance due to stair work.

Network Renewal Project

Network renewal continues across the Prince George and Quesnel campuses, with ethernet and fiber upgrades improving speed and reliability. Work is active in the 200, 500, 700, 800, and 900 Blocks of the Prince George campus, with after-hours work in occupied spaces to reduce disruptions. 

Quesnel campus will experience rolling network cutover work from Monday-Thursdays from 4:00pm - 2:00am.

Impacts: Expect increased noise levels and narrower hallways. Network disruptions are not expected but will happen during key transitions.
