Building Envelope Project

The Building Envelope Renewal Project is ongoing at the Prince George Campus, including exterior siding and window work, roof installation, and framing across multiple campus blocks. Some interior areas, including the Learning Commons, will have temporary work zones in place during daytime window installation as campus facilities continue to be renewed.

Impacts: Some entrances may be partially or temporarily closed. Expect noise, dust, visual disruptions, and temporary detours in affected areas. 

Accessibility & Detours
Please use posted detour routes and alternate entrances during closures until further notice.

  • Accessible parking at the South Main Entrance is temporarily relocated near the crosswalk ramp.
  • The following entrances are closed or partially closed:
    • Main entrance (partially closed)
    • East entrance (fully closed)
    • Two 1st-floor exits in the 300 Block
    • Back entrance of the Health and Wellness Center (closed except for emergencies)

Network Renewal Project

The Network Renewal Project is progressing across CNC campuses. Work includes scheduled network transitions, electrical and architectural upgrades, removal of old cabling, and fire stopping in Prince George blocks, as well as continued upgrades in Vanderhoof, Quesnel, Burns Lake, and Mackenzie.

Impacts: Expect increased noise levels and narrower hallways. Network disruptions are not expected but will happen during key transitions.
