DESCRIPTION:
This course builds on the foundational skills explored in Human Relations I by further developing key concepts to enhance interpersonal relations in the workplace. Students will continue to explore generic competencies that are highly valued by organizations including verbal skills, teamwork, group problem-solving, cross-cultural and diversity awareness, selfmotivation, business etiquette and ethical behaviour. Special attention is given to functional strategies for the workplace such as managing conflict, utilizing leadership skills and assisting the public as well as practical workplace knowledge such as management styles and differing organizational structures.
