Ebooks

CNC has made a record-breaking purchase of 1,293 new e-books for our 2020-2021 year. We encourage students to access the books, which cover a wide range of topics.

Any student in the region served by CNC can access these e-books. Students only need their login ID and password. The access link is: https://login.ezproxy.cnc.bc.ca/login?url=http://search.ebscohost.com/login.aspx?authtype=ip,uid&profile=ehost&defaultdb=nlebk

We made the e-book enhancement to strengthen access to learning and research resources at all CNC campuses. This is especially important given the increase in online learning through the COVID-19 pandemic.

Physical books would be much more costly to provide across our region. E-books are not subject to loss or damage, and students can access them around the clock with just an internet connection. We can also add titles and licenses based on user demand.

The e-books are available now and are available from about two hours after we purchase them.

Thank you to Jennifer Sauve, James Lovitt, and Brenda Yee of CNC’s Library for helping to make this purchase possible.

Happy reading!
