Embedded within CNC’s Strategic Plan | lhulh whuts’ odutel’ eh (learning together), the Indigenous Education Plan represents a commitment to fostering meaningful relationships and incorporating Indigenous cultures throughout our campuses and programming. Through extensive consultations with community members, representing all 22 Nations served by CNC and the Yinka Dene Council, three key commitments have emerged:

  • Understand: The CNC community commits to increase cultural understanding across the College community.

  • Connect: The CNC Community commits to building and strengthening relationships between CNC and Indigenous communities.

  • Empower: The CNC community commits to supporting Indigenous students as they process through their learning journey.
