Event Description
Join us for a two-day drumming workshop led by Brent Edgar (Mucmukw7kus) of the Nuxalk Nation. Brent is a master drum maker, singer, and respected knowledge holder. With over 30 years of experience in drumming and singing, Brent shares his teachings with deep respect for the traditions and protocols passed down to him.
During this workshop, participants will:
- Learn about drum protocols and teachings
- Explore the cultural significance of drumming and singing
- Be guided through a traditional drum song
- Build connection through shared learning and practice
CNC students will be given priority, but all are welcome to register. This is a hands-on cultural learning opportunity not to be missed.
