Event Description
All are welcome to join us for an Industrial Mechanic Information Session. This program prepares students to work as an Industrial Mechanic (Millwright) or Machinist. This is an opportunity to get an in-depth overview of the program and what you can do with your education. Participate in hands-on activities, meet your future instructors, and connect with others interested in the program.
Those who attend may apply to the program free of charge.
By attending the event, you will:
- Develop a thorough understanding of the Industrial Mechanic program and what you can do with your education.
- Learn about CNC, the Prince George campus, and the various services available for students.
- Tour the Canfor Tech Trades Building and view the workspaces.
- Connect with other students interested in the Industrial Mechanic program.
- Meet staff and faculty.
There will also be light refreshments, snacks and a “Swag Bag” with CNC merchandise available to win!
Millwrights and machinists play a key role in many industries, meaning your education can lead to a career in a wide range of work environments from manufacturing and packaging to natural resources, recreation, transportation, and others.
