DESCRIPTION:
A survey of significant events in global history from the 1890s to 1939, with particular emphasis on the First World War, the instability of the 1920s and 1930s, the rise of nationalism and self-determination throughout the colonial world, the historical development of major global powers during the interwar period, and the road to World War II. Historical experiences and perspectives from a diversity of countries, global regions, and cultural groups will be explored.
