Funding under the future skills grant program will be available in the winter 2024 semester for only those learners who initiated a program of study in the fall 2023 semester using their future skills grant funding of $3,500 and whose program extended beyond that first semester (midstream learners).

If you are beginning your program in January 2024, your tuition will not be covered by the future skills grant.

The future skills grant aims to help British Columbians to quickly get the skills they need to succeed in the jobs of today and the future. You could be eligible to receive up to $3,500 to help cover tuition fees for select short programs.

 Do I Qualify?

You may qualify for the program if you:

  • are a Canadian Citizen, Permanent Resident or Protected Person;
  • are residing in British Columbia;
  • are 19 years of age and older, -OR- have graduated from grade 12 or equivalent;
  • are a midstream learner enroled in a future skills grant eligible program extending beyond one semester.
