The future skills grant aims to help British Columbians to quickly get the skills they need to succeed in the jobs of today and the future. You could be eligible to receive up to $3,500 to help cover tuition fees for select short programs starting this fall.

 Do I Qualify?

You may qualify for the program if you:

  • are a Canadian Citizen, Permanent Resident or Protected Person;
  • are residing in British Columbia;
  • are 19 years of age and older, -OR- have graduated from grade 12 or equivalent;
  • have not previously received funding from Future Skills BC.

    Step 1: Submit a Request for Registration Online Form

    First, you must register for your course of interest by completing an online request for registration. Please indicate here that you would like to use future skills grant funds.

    Note: Bookkeeping applicants must apply through a separate channel here.

    Step 2: Submit a Future Skills Grant Application Form

    Complete this fillable form to apply for funding through the future skills grant. 

    Note: only select seats are available for funding in each eligible course. Eligible recipients will be determined on a first come, first served basis.

    Step 3:  Await Confirmation of Registration

    If funded seats are available, then you will be emailed a copy of your registration statement. If the future skills grant seats are full, you will be placed on the waitlist.

    If you are waitlisted, you may choose to pay online for your course in order to confirm your registration.
