Event Description
Bunats’utilnih "We Will Remember Them"
National Indigenous Veterans Day honours the contributions of Indigenous veterans who bravely served Canada, often without the same acknowledgment or support as their non-Indigenous counterparts. Established in 1994, this day brings their stories to light and creates spaces for remembrance and respect. It is a time to reflect on more that 200 years of dedicated military service, with more than 12,000 Indigenous veterans participating in both World Wars, the Korean War, and other global conflicts.
All community members are invited to reflect, remember, and honour these brave, Indigenous veterans.
