DESCRIPTION:

This course introduces students to the sonographic principles of imaging in the normal abdomen and pelvis. The focus is on normal anatomical appearance, variants and common pathologies. Concepts include relational and cross-sectional anatomy and physiology. Students will apply theoretical concepts to scan structures of interest in the abdomen, male pelvis, and non-pregnant female pelvis..
