Course Overview
The program prepares you to launch a career as a professional driver. This comprehensive 18-week program includes: 1 week of essential skills training, 16 weeks of occupational skills training, and 1 week of job search support. You will earn industry certifications including Air Brakes, First Aid, WHMIS, TDG, and Defensive Driver training. Tuition, textbooks, safety gear, and supplies are 100% covered at no cost to you. This program is delivered in partnership with the Ministry of Social Development and Poverty Reduction.
Do I Qualify?
Candidates must meet the following requirements:
- Be 19 years of age or older
- Hold a valid full-privilege B.C. driver's license (Class 5 or 6) with a minimum of 2 years non-learner driving experience
- Have a clean driving record(fewer than 4 penalty points) and pay all prior fines/debts to ICBC
- Pass a driver's medical examination and vision screening
- Determined eligible by WorkBC
