DESCRIPTION:
This course introduces the student to the basic knowledge of the study of local anesthesia. Course content will develop the student's understanding of pain, pain control and various techniques for patient pain management. The prevention and handling of medical emergencies in the dental environment, and the use of the online Compendium of Pharmaceuticals and Specialties is covered.
