DESCRIPTION:
This competency-based course is designed for students pursuing entry-level trades training, work, or apprenticeships. Basic mathematics skills, including mathematics communication skills, and their practical applications in trades are emphasized. It covers topics such as whole number operations, decimals, fractions, measurement, basic algebra, geometry of constructions, plus trades-related problems for all topics. This course is beneficial to students who wish to develop confidence in their math ability and appreciate the crucial relationship between mathematics and the trades.
