COVID-19 Current Status More

We want to share our appreciation for students and employees who continue to work hard and make progress during this pandemic.

None of us imagined the pandemic would enter a third year. Cases remain high. Many members of the CNC community have had to provide care for family members or friends who have become infected with COVID or other seasonal illnesses. A long winter is not making things easier.

Despite the general uncertainty and concern, we want to emphasize that our approach to on-campus learning continues to be based on provincial recommendations and guidelines.

Provincial Health Officer Dr. Bonnie Henry recently wrote to presidents of post-secondary institutions. She has repeated her recommendation to continue on-campus instruction, pointing to high vaccination rates and comprehensive safety measures that institutions like ours have put in place. You can read the letter from Dr. Bonnie Henry here

We will continue to rely on public health guidance. We will carefully move forward with events while supporting the health and safety of those in the CNC community. For example, CNC will hold its in-person open house for prospective students on Saturday March 5th with careful safety planning. You can expect to see much more in the days and weeks ahead.

We understand and appreciate the past two years have been stressful and challenging. Your health and wellness are vitally important. CNC is currently marking its health and safety week. We encourage you to make the most of planned events through the week. You can find out more at on the Health & Wellness Week event page.

Thank you for your hard work and dedication as the pandemic continues.

Your voice is important
