Greig Taylor Memorial Scholarship

Greig Taylor was a volunteer Board Member for the Prince George Activator Society for over twenty years. Greig passed away on April 30, 2016 at the age of sixty-nine after a courageous battle with cancer. He was first and foremost a husband, father and grandfather but he was also a prominent business owner in Prince George. Greig worked in the local lumber industry for over forty years and was a managing partner of Dollar Saver Lumber for over two decades.

To the staff and residents of the Prince George Activator Society he was both a member on the Board of Directors and a friend. The Prince George Activator Society established in 1971 is a community service provider that works to support men as they transition from incarceration back into society. Greig was a tireless supporter or reintegrating residents back into the workforce and into the community. He personally offered work to many at his mill and offered guidance in employment training.

The Prince George Activator Society has conserved his legacy and influence by establishing an endowment in Greig Taylor's name. Each year the Greig Taylor Memorial Endowment provides a $1,000.00 scholarship to a full-time student registered in the Industrial Mechanic (Millwright)/Machinist Foundation-Level Program.
