DESCRIPTION:
Lab principle, concepts, and uses of Geographic Information System (GIS) technology. Emphasis is given to the processes involved in the digital mapping and spatial analysis with GIS. Topics include geo-referencing, data acquisition and input, data analysis and processing, and data output. Laboratory exercises will complement the theory presented in the lectures.
