DESCRIPTION:
This course is the first of three radiographic procedure courses that focuses on patient care, medicolegal documentation, image production and diagnostic quality. This course provides the theory and skills required to perform imaging procedures of the appendicular skeleton, chest & abdomen, axial skeleton (vertebral column & thoracic cage only) and gastrointestinal system. Students problem solve to adapt to atypical patients and their physical, emotional and psychological needs. Laboratory settings support theory with hands-on experience and prepare students for clinical practice.
