DESCRIPTION:
This course focuses on historic and current theories that influence the field of Early Childhood Education (ECE). Canadian policies aimed at assimilating Indigenous people are examined. The learner is exposed to a variety of perspectives that support the development of contextually appropriate practice. The role of play in the overall development of the preschool child is explored.
