DESCRIPTION:
|
Students gain the technical knowledge required to operate radiographic and accessory equipment regarding image acquisition, processing, display and storage in the clinical environment. Topics include the structural design of radiographic system components (xray tube, table, bucky and generator) and factors that influence the quality of the resultant image (patient variables, exposure factors, beam geometry, equipment malfunction, display monitors, image algorithms and post-acquisition processing tools). Fluoroscopic equipment types, design, construction and image acquisition are discussed in depth.
