Burns Lake: Call for vendors and artists for Indigenous Culture Week

As part of Indigenous Culture week, CNC's Burns Lake campus is looking for art to feature in the "Artist Showcase" and for vendors looking to sell their wares at the annual "Indigenous Artisan Market".

Indigenous Culture Week Artist Showcase

The Burns Lake campus is accepting submissions from Indigenous artists to feature their work during the Artist Showcase the week of March 18th-22nd.

  • Display your Indigenous-themed creations in our art gallery for a chance to win cash prizes!
  • Any artist can submit ONE piece
  • Art can be any medium, including handmade items such as clothing, crafts, beading, etc.
  • All submissions must be Indigenous themed.

Deadline to apply as a featured artist is March 11, 2024. Please download an artist submission form and return it via email to benedictt2@cnc.bc.ca or bring it to the Burns Lake campus main office. 

Indigenous Culture Week Artisan Market

On March 22nd, the Burns Lake campus will host the second annual Indigenous Artisan Market. We are searching for Indigenous-themed artisans and crafters who would like to be a vendor at this event. Space is extremely limited, so interested vendors are encouraged to apply early!

  • Vendor must be Indigenous, and be selling Indigenous products, arts and crafts, etc.
  • Vendors are chosen on a first applied, first served basis.
  • NO table charge, NO entry fees. This is a free event for all. 
  • All vendors are responsible for their own product and cash handling and must remain at the event during open hours of 10:00 AM - 4:00 PM. 

Deadline to apply to be a vendor is March 1, 2024. Download a vendor submission form here, or visit the Burns Lake campus main office. Please return your form via email to benedictt2@cnc.bc.ca, or drop off on campus.
