CNC is proud to play a key role in the BC Summer Games in Prince George from Thursday July 21st to Sunday July 24th. We look forward to welcoming 3,000 athletes and their support people to the PG Campus as the food services, volleyball, and access control venues.
We want to advise you of the following impacts on campus. We continue working with the local games society, and will provide new information as it becomes available:
Parking may be limited on campus during the games. Please watch for signage and take some extra time to get to the campus and find parking;
The seating areas in the cafeteria and Gathering Place will be closed for much of the week of July 17th for setup and to accommodate preparation and serving of meals to the athletes; and
The gym will be closed for much of the week of July 17th for setup and to accommodate volleyball competition.
We will also use this opportunity to introduce visitors to the city to the advantages of studying at CNC. Communications Services will have a digital marketing campaign underway through the games as part of our strategic enrolment management marketing and recruitment plan.
Thank you for helping athletes, organizers and volunteers feel welcome at CNC.
Please note the BC Games Society is seeking volunteers. If you have time outside of your work hours or if you are on vacation, we encourage you to take part at bcgames.org.
