About the Workshop

Miyeuyhtum (Uplift): A Métis Health & Wellness Workshop is a culturally grounded workshop designed to explore identity, balance, and well-being through Métis teachings and connection.

Participants will
• Explore Métis identity and cultural wellness
• Learn about balance through Medicine Wheel teachings
• Create their own leather Métis medicine pouch
• Reflect on personal wellness through culturally rooted activities

This workshop offers a safe, welcoming, and engaging space to strengthen mental, emotional, spiritual, and social well-being. It supports curiosity, confidence, and reconnection while reinforcing that Métis people belong, their experiences matter, and their well-being is worth nurturing.

The Métis Nation British Columbia Regional & Youth Mental Wellness Coordinators will be available to build connections, offer guidance, and help bridge participants to wellness resources.

The STEPS (Education) Ministry will also be onsite to share information about education funding opportunities and available supports.
