Join us for the March EDIB (Equity, Diversity, Inclusion, and Belonging) Speaker Series featuring Dr. Rheanna Robinson.
In this engaging and thought-provoking session, Dr. Robinson will explore the intersections of Indigeneity, disability, and decolonization. Drawing on her lived experience and academic work in Indigenous Disability Studies, she will examine how Indigenous knowledges offer meaningful and transformative approaches to equity and inclusion within and beyond the academy.
About the Speaker
 | Dr. Rheanna Robinson is an Associate Professor in the Department of First Nations Studies at University of Northern British Columbia and Co-Lead of the Indigenous Research Stream with the Canadian Institute of Inclusion and Citizenship at University of British Columbia. She is a member of the Manitoba Métis Federation and was raised in Smithers, Northern British Columbia. Diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis in 1997, her work mobilizes Indigenous traditional perspectives and contemporary experiences regarding disability and ongoing health inequities for Indigenous Peoples. |
