Event Description

Join us for Indigenous Culture Week at the Quesnel campus, a five-day series of activities that invite students, staff, and community members to learn, connect, and celebrate Indigenous cultures.

Throughout the week, participants can take part in hands-on cultural activities, conversations, and community gatherings. Whether you stop by for a few minutes or stay longer, each day offers an opportunity to engage, listen, and learn together.

All activities are drop-in and open to the public unless otherwise noted.

Monday, March 23
Indigenous Art Colouring (Drop-In)
11:00 am – 1:00 pm | Outside Room S128
Start your week with a colouring activity featuring Indigenous art. This session offers a creative and accessible way to engage with Indigenous artistic expression in a relaxed, welcoming space.

Tuesday, March 24
Beading Table (Drop-In)
11:00 am – 1:00 pm | Outside Room S128
Try your hand at beading, a traditional art form practiced across many Indigenous cultures. Beading kits and supplies will be provided.

Seating is limited to 12 participants at a time, so please drop in and join as space becomes available.

Wednesday, March 25
Yintah Film Screening & Snacks (Drop-In)
2:00pm – 4:00pm | Room N206
Join us for a screening of Yintah, a film highlighting Indigenous stories and perspectives. This viewing offers an opportunity to learn and reflect through film.

Thursday, March 26
Indigenous Teaching + Bannock with Elders
11:30am – 1:00pm | Cafeteria

Join us for Bannock with Elders and Indigenous teachings. The gathering will begin with Elder introductions and acknowledgements, followed by shared learning and conversation over Bannock.

Friday, March 27
Tea + Teachings Corner (Drop-In)
10:00am – 12:00pm | Cafeteria
Enjoy tea, snacks, and meaningful conversation with Elder Sharon Primeau. This relaxed gathering offers an opportunity to listen, learn, and connect through shared stories and teachings.

Everyone is welcome.
We invite students, staff, and community members to stop by throughout the week and take part in these meaningful experiences.
