Join the Eco Living Community, UNBC, CNC Chef Mandy, and instructor April for an inspiring evening of food, learning, and community at CNC.

Program Overview: This climate cook-in will have participants make and take home choke cherry sauce and Bannock with Chef Mandy, learn about indigenous food practices, permaculture, and what it means to be a regenerative human with Instructor April. 

What’s Happening?

This hands-on cooking workshop will explore sustainable food practices, local food security, and the importance of sourcing ingredients locally and responsibly. Participants will also learn about foraging and traditional food knowledge.

You’ll prepare a meal using locally sourced ingredients and take home what you make to enjoy and share.

Who Can Join?

Open to all CNC students, staff, and Prince George community members. No cooking experience required, just bring your curiosity and a willingness to learn.

In Honour of Truth and Reconciliation Week

This event invites reflection on Indigenous food knowledge and stewardship of the land. Together, we’ll explore how sustainable food practices connect to reconciliation and respect for traditional ways of knowing.
