Event Description

Start your year by joining the Connect and Consent Pop-Up Fair, a dynamic and interactive event designed to raise awareness about healthy relationships, consent, and preventing gender-based and sexualized violence.

Explore a range of engaging activities including:

  • Healthy Relationship Trivia to test your knowledge and learn what makes connections strong and respectful.

  • Bystander Intervention Training to build confidence to safely support others in challenging situations.

  • Self-Defense Workshops to gain practical skills that empower your personal safety.

  • Consent Culture Jenga and REES Fast Five, fun interactive games that open conversations around boundaries and respect.

Meet representatives from CNC's Wellness team, CNCSU, and local organizations such as the Northern BC Women’s Centre, Prince George Sexual Assault Centre, E-Fry, and PLN. Discover the resources available to support you and your community throughout the school year.

This event is especially welcoming to all students, with a focus on supporting women, non-binary individuals, LGBTQIA+ communities, BIPOC students, and young adults aged 18 to 25, groups that research shows may face higher risks of sexualized violence.

Note: The Connect and Consent Fair is part of a larger initiative that includes the Speak Out: Ending Gender-Based Violence event later in the day. For details about this community consultation and advocacy session, click below.
