Event Details

Event Description

The Community Legal Aid Society of BC (CLAS) invites you to participate in Speak Out: Ending Gender-Based Violence, a community consultation focused on addressing gender-based violence (GBV) and the misuse of Non Disclosure Agreements (NDAs).

This event provides a safe and respectful space to raise awareness about the harm caused by GBV and how NDAs can prevent survivors from seeking justice. Your voice is essential in sharing experiences and informing law and policy reform recommendations that are culturally sensitive and meet the needs of those most at risk.

Through meaningful dialogue, the Community Legal Aid Society of BC aims to:

  • Listen to the unique needs and challenges faced by communities responding to GBV and NDAs

  • Develop recommendations for law and policy changes that support survivors and improve reporting processes

  • Strengthen advocacy skills to empower communities to speak out and promote lasting change

Everyone is welcome to join this important conversation. Your participation will help shape safer, stronger communities where survivors are supported and heard.
