We are pleased to tell you that CNC’s Return To Campus Plan and Communicable Disease Plan are now ready. They can also be found at cnc.bc.ca/covid.

These plans will define how CNC will ensure the health and wellbeing of students and employees as face-to-face learning increases. The final decision toward greater face-to-face learning depends on BC moving to the fourth and final step of the provincial re-start plan.

The pandemic is not over, and the plans are intended to adapt to changing circumstances following provincial public health guidance.  The plans assume COVID-19 will become manageable like other respiratory viruses due to higher rates of vaccination and the ability to manage cases without sweeping restrictions. We intend to work closely with the BC Government, Northern Health, and our post-secondary colleagues to adapt the plans.

In general, here is how the fall term will look in moving to step four of the restart strategy:

General guidance as early as September 7th

  • Normal social contact

  • If one is sick, stay home and get tested
  • Modified seasonal cleaning
  • Communicable disease plan in place
