About Siibii
Siibii is a Montreal-based, queer, trans non-binary Indigenous songwriter from Mistissini, Quebec, whose name which means “river” in Cree and reflects a flowing, expressive source of creative and personal empowerment. A self-trained artist influenced by both family and instinct, Siibii blends electronic pop with distinctive, ethereal vocals, drawing comparisons to artists like Billie Eilish, Lady Gaga, and Remi Wolf. Their music explores themes of identity, self-criticism, and emotional resilience, as heard in their breakout single “YOY,” which has garnered millions of streams and led to major festival performances. An award-winning songwriter and rising voice in pop, Siibii is committed to increasing Indigenous and LGBTQ+ representation in music, recently signing with Ishkōdé Records and preparing for a debut album release.
