DESCRIPTION:

This course covers fundamental legal concepts, principles, and issues in Canadian business. Students will explore the Canadian legal system, tort law, and contract law, applying these concepts to real business problems. Topics include sale of goods contracts, employment contracts, the law of agency, corporations, secured transactions, the law of real property and mortgages, and negotiable instruments. Through case studies and analysis, students will gain a practical understanding of business law and its applications.
