DESCRIPTION:

The major sociological perspectives and theories will be presented and applied to various types of crimes and deviance. The assumptions, consistency, and completeness of these accounts will be critically assessed. Findings for and against these theories will be evaluated. Finally, the practical implica tions of these approaches will be discussed.
