DESCRIPTION:

This course explores the principles of surveying required to collect elevation and topographic data for civil engineering projects. Students will apply the required skills to complete level loop and traversing, measurement of distances and angles, and mathematical calculations to analyze and adjust data. Additional topics covered include equipment set up and calibration, grade and cut/fill determination, stationing, and field notes and format. Equipment care and safety are emphasized throughout the course.ut.
