DESCRIPTION:
|
Students will learn to use the 24-hour clock in a clinical setting. They will learn about drug categories/uses, non-formulary preparations and the names of the most common medications. Students will also be introduced to the types of Medication Administration Records (MAR) and will practise transcribing orders onto these records in an accurate and timely manner. The many uses of the Compendium of Pharmaceuticalsand Specialties (CPS), pharmacology vocabulary and abbreviations will be taught.
