DESCRIPTION:

This course is an introduction to psychological theories and research related to both sport and exercise behaviour. Students will gain an understanding of how psychological factors influence participation and performance in sport, exercise, and physical education. The application of knowledge to a variety of physical activity settings will be promoted. The course provides a broad overview of a variety of topics: personal factors, social processes, psychological skills training, exercise and well-being, addiction, and injury.
