DESCRIPTION:

This course introduces the student to the dimensions of professional nursing practice. Through group and individual learning activities, student are introduced to professional nursing practices and concepts, issues and trends in both nursing and the Canadian health care system. Students are introduced to foundational nursing skills in the laboratory. Students are provided the opportunity to apply foundational nursing skills in the clinical setting with adults.
