CNC is moving forward with a Network Renewal Project. Upgrading our digital infrastructure will ensure faster, more reliable connectivity across all campuses. This project is funded by the Ministry of Infrastructure.
About the Project
CNC is working to bring you a better-connected campus. By upgrading core networking infrastructure and replacing outdated systems, the College is future proofing its digital environment for students, staff, and faculty. These improvements reflect CNC’s commitment to rejuvenating infrastructure as part of our institutional goals.
Strategic Plan Alignment – lhulh whuts’odutel’eh – Learning Together:
The Network Renewal Project aligns with CNC’s Strategic Plan (lhulh whuts’odutel’eh – Learning Together) under Priority 3.5: Rejuvenate College Infrastructure. This project supports long-term goals to strengthen connectivity, enhance access to digital tools, and create a more connected experience across all CNC campuses.

Project Timeline
- April 2023: Campus-wide Wi-Fi Access Point replacements done
- June 2024: Eduroam Wi-Fi network officially launched
- Fall 2024: Network Design
- May 2025: Pre-Construction Phase
- Site investigations at all CNC campuses
- Assessment of existing network infrastructure
- Finalizing design specifications and determining implementation methods
- Preparing for the upcoming construction phase
- June 2025 – March 2026: Construction Phase
- Completion Date: End of March 2026 (estimated)
Impact on Campus
As the Network Renewal Project progresses into construction, you may experience temporary disruptions, including brief outages, reduced connectivity, and equipment installation in your area. These interruptions will vary by location and timing.
We understand these disruptions may be inconvenient. Every effort will be made to keep them as brief and localized as possible. Advance notices and updates will be shared regularly.
