The College of New Caledonia is cancelling classes for the afternoon in its main building due to a maintenance issue which led to smoke in the building.

Students, staff, and the public cannot enter the main building until an all clear is received. Those who need to retrieve items from the main building can wait in the Canfor Tech Building until word is available.

Anyone else who does not need to enter the main building is advised to go home. Classes taking place in the Canfor Tech, Brink, and Finning buildings are continuing.

We apologize for the inconvenience as we tend to the safety and well being of those on campus.

A further update will be available if evening classes in the main building can take place. This page will stay updated with the latest information.

Classes are expected to resume as scheduled on Tuesday November 26th.

Update 2:22pm

Students and staff can now re-enter the building to retrieve their personal items, after which they are advised to go home.

We do not yet have the status of evening classes. We will tell you more as soon as we have new information.

Update 3:05pm

Classes are now cancelled for this afternoon and evening for the main building of the Prince George campus.
