Each year, September 30th marks the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation. We ask and encourage members of the CNC community to:
- Wear orange to honour those impacted by residential schools.
- Take part in community events.
- Learn and understand your role in fostering truth, reconciliation, and decolonization.
This year, Darlene McIntosh (cultural advisor at Prince George ARC), Corinne George (regional principal at Burns Lake campus), and Troy Morin (associate dean of the school of HUB) shared their personal experiences with the lasting effects of residential schools and treatment of Indigenous peoples in Canada.
